Kosovo,
Serbia 1389 This interpretation originated from
a false theory based on German historians. Data showed that Serbs
lived in this region before the "Battle of Kosovo". Currently
Monastery Krupa (which is in the same Dalmatia region near
Obrovac) is celebrating 700 years of its existence*. Why would
Serbian-Orthodox monastery exist at the time and in the region
where there were no Serbs, who supposingly came 72 years later!
This was obviously a false, politically motivated narrative, which
suited the powers to be at that time and Tito regime after WW-II.
Unfortunately, till recently I also belived we came from Kosovo -
NOT TRUE!

Meaning of
"Oklop" is armor. Oklobdžija means "one who wears armor" -i.e.
Knight. Our ancestors were "Knights" in the Serbian army
fighting Ottoman (Turk) invasion of Serbia and later Europe.
Decisive battle between Serbs and Ottomans happen on the field
of Kosovo which was the center of the Serbian land. All the
nobility came to the battle, knowing that they are outnumbered
10:1 and that the outcome will not be survival. It was a matter
of honor and in this battle Serbian King and all the nobles
fought to death. One of the notable Serbs, Milos Obilic,
penetrated Ottoman quarters and killed the Ottoman leader. The
confusion at the Ottoman side almost resulted in Serbian
victory, but the Turks hid the death of their leader and
succeeded in regrouping and winning.
After defeat
in 1389 surviving members moved west along Dalmatia.
- NOT TRUE! see above. There were 3 villages of Oklobdžija's
close to Sibenik, Dalmatia, and final settlement was
in Lika Papuca near Medak. (Djurica Oklobdžija store in Medak,
